Description One Grassland Bird Survey technician is needed to conduct grassland bird and vegetation surveys of public and private lands in northeastern North Dakota. The field season will begin mid-May 2017 and end early August 2017. The first two weeks of the season will be used primarily for training on grassland bird visual and auditory identification, distance sampling, and vegetation surveying. The majority of the season will be used for surveying grassland sites during early morning hours, usually 4:30 AM to 12:30 AM work days. The technician will survey on all days with suitable weather, meaning some weekends may be required. All sites will have vegetation surveys conducted in early-July. On days with poor weather, survey data will be entered and proofed. Qualification
