We are seeking an experienced crew leader to supervise technicians and assist a graduate student with PhD research looking at translocated and resident sage-grouse movements and vital rates. The position will begin in early March and will end at the beginning of August. The field work will take place in the Sheeprock Sage-grouse Management Area located in Utah’s West Desert, and offers access to BLM, USFS, and private land. Primary tasks will include: conducting lek surveys, tracking radio-collared birds, assisting with trapping and collaring birds, assisting with translocations, conducting vegetation surveys, mammalian surveys, corvid/raptor surveys, and assisting in some training and lab meetings.
