The Water and Wetlands Programme of IUCN has established a comprehensive set of water and wetland related activities in the Pacific. The aim of the programme is to promote ecosystem-based management approaches to water and wetland management and to demonstrate ecosystem based approaches to climate change adaptation. It is the primary program of the Nature based Solutions cluster group of IUCN ORO.

Currently the major elements of the programme include:

• Pacific Mangroves Initiatives – seeking to enhance eco-system based management of mangroves and promote ecosystem based adaptation to climate change.
• Climate Change Adaptation Project in Republic of Marshall Islands
• RELIEF Kit project in Oceania
