Job Description: The Missouri River Bird Observatory (MRBO) seeks one wetland bird surveyor from 1 May – 30 June, 2015. This individual will conduct all-species surveys by sight and sound in private wetlands throughout the state of Missouri. The survey methodology is a hybrid between line transects and spot-mapping with all data collected on iPads. On each transect there is a stop at mid-point to conduct audio broadcasts eliciting vocal responses from secretive marsh birds.
