An exciting opportunity for a Wetland Mapping Specialist in our Portland, Oregon office. This regular, hourly position will focus on using remote sending and photo interpretation techniques to identify and classify wetland and other habitats with the Western US (Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada and the Pacific Islands. Job Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, and executes necessary field verification of wetland and other habitat mapping efforts Identifies and classifies wetlands and vegetative cover Uses GPS, GIS, databases, and remote sensing software for mapping and analysis activities Develops user notes/reports for maps describing, but not limited to, wildlife use, and wetlands habitat, vegetative communities, soils, hydrology, and fisheries.
