The Conservation Officer will undertake the day-to-day running of the Wildlife Sites programme in Bedfordshire. This will involve working with landowners to organise and deliver survey, advisory and management work to bring or maintain Wildlife Sites in positive management and favourable condition, and to maintain a strong and active Local Sites Partnership. You will manage the Water for Wildlife Project in Bedfordshire. This will involve coordinating, liaising and supporting a team of around 35 newly recruited Volunteer River Wardens. You will develop habitat and species monitoring projects for the Volunteer River Wardens and be proactive in identifying opportunities for enhancement and rehabilitation of the rivers.
