Overview

We are looking for a Communications Manager (Events) to deliver some of our most critical public activations, events and our community fundraising, helping to drive a step-change in the impact of our public engagement.

This exciting role is part of our public engagement team, leading the charge in planning and delivering our major events, community fundraising and delivering some of our major public engagement activations too.

Public engagement is crucial to the success of our conservation work. We want to reach and inspire public audiences to mobilise support for our campaigns, to raise funds for our critical conservation work and to increase awareness of the issues facing our planet – and what we can do about it.

Our Activations team is responsible for our major public engagement projects and campaigns. A fast-paced, agency style team, we work collaboratively across the organisation with other teams, including corporate partnerships, campaigns, advocacy and public fundraising to deliver results.

You’ll be responsible for delivering some of our most critical public activations, events and our community fundraising, helping to drive a step-change in the impact of our public engagement.

You will be playing a crucial role driving forward our community fundraising strategy and ambitious growth plans

This role is full time and fixed term, predominantly UK based – at our Living Planet Centre in Woking – but you can expect some UK travel as part of this role and due to the nature of this role, some out of hours and weekend working will be necessary.
