Salary: £24,000 – 28,800 pa (more for exceptional candidates)

This is an exciting time to join the Trust which is growing and building on recent project successes. As Project Officer you will play a leading role planning and delivering habitat and water quality improvement projects across the River Thame and parts of the Upper Ouse (Buckingham) and other local catchments.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Trust’s communication and public facing role managing the PR, social media, website and newsletter and you will be fully immersed in building constructive relationships with landowners, farmers, partner organisations and local communities to raise funds and deliver practical on the ground projects to improve the catchments for wildlife and people.
You will be involved in our thriving volunteer programme, managing citizen science and other data gathering and analysis to monitor change in our river and to report to funders.
The package. Salary £24,000 – £28,800 pa subject to experience. More could be available for exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates. The post offers flexible working, Rivers Trust pension / Life Insurance scheme 32 days leave (annual leave and public holidays) and flexible home and office working in pleasant office surroundings within Bury Knowle Park, Oxford.
Working Hours. This post is full time (but flexibility exists to be part time for the right candidate) and initially a two-year fixed term contract with the intention to continue the post subject to funding and performance.
