The Master of Natural Resources Stewardship (MNRS) degree is a coursework-intensive, professional masters degree. It is intended to provide students with a broad natural resources education and specialized resource management expertise in one of three specializations: ecological restoration, forest sciences, or rangeland ecology and management.

This masters can be completed in three semesters of full time coursework. Some courses require prerequisites that incoming students may need to complete, and some highly desired courses are only offered every other year. Therefore, the length of time required to complete the program depends on the student’s background and desired courses.
