Rachel Cripps, Red Squirrel Field Officer, Lancashire Wildlife Trust

“Having been researching various methods for strategy development, I was excited to come across the SDWC course – I wasn’t disappointed. There was a great balance between theory and the opportunity to apply what you were learning to real-world examples (including our own projects). I have already started thinking about how to use SDWC processes in my work.”

Fantastic course. As a career switcher into Conservation this course gave me a really great introduction to creating a Conservation Strategy. It covers all the key aspects in a really simple and clear way. Terminology and concepts are explained well. I now feel confident in understanding how to develop a strategy, what the different components are and how to make sense of such complex issues!
(I did the course online which involves some time commitment but you’ll get out what you put in!)

I did the online Project Management and Strategy Management for Wildlife Conservation courses in April and March 2020. They were the best online courses I’ve done so far, and I’ve done quite a few. The live-online sessions where key for incorporating the knowledge and learning how to put it into practice. It was great to meet other conservationists, from experts in their field to early career starters. If you are thinking of taking a course that directly translates into your everyday job as a conservationist, this is it!
