Integrated Statistics is looking for an Acoustician to work with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC). The position supports the Protected Species Branch's Passive Acoustics group. The Passive Acoustics group conducts research in the Atlantic Ocean, using innovative passive acoustic technologies to evaluate the impacts of various human-produced sounds on acoustically sensitive marine animals, to aid in management, monitoring, and conservation efforts. The Acoustician will be engaged in analyzing high frequency odontocete clicks and/or baleen whale sounds, with involvement in two projects:
