POSITION DESCRIPTION: This is a multi-faceted position that will assist research, education, and community outreach at the Alaska Songbird Institute (ASI) in Fairbanks, Alaska. The intern will work alongside ASI biologists and community volunteers on multiple projects: 1) Creamer’s Field Migration Station, a songbird mist netting station; 2) Swallow Ecology project, a nest monitoring project; 3) Birds n’ Bogs North!, a citizen science project that monitors wetland breeding birds; and 4) North for Science!, a field expedition program that exposes students to subarctic field research and science .
