The Boutin Lab and the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute (ABMI) are looking for a post-doctoral fellow to use the ABMI’s long term, provincial-scale, mammal monitoring dataset and develop/test analysis methods. The dataset includes five years of camera, and six years of snow-tracking, data. The data include info on a broad suite of mammals and are well suited for asking questions to support analytical advancements; inform management for common species (eg., species such as moose, bear, and deer); quantify changes in distribution and habitat use for less common species (eg., lynx, cougar, pronghorn); and answer foundational questions regarding mammal ecology.
