Location: Northern Virginia/Washington DC/Maryland   Duration of Internship:  30-35 hours per week, for approximately 10 weeks   Compensation: Intern will receive a stipend of $500 per week up to a total of $5000, paid monthly. American Bird Conservancy (ABC) is looking for a self-motivated summer intern to work with ABC staff scientists to update the global database for the Seabird Mapping and Information for Fisheries (SMIF). This work will support ABC’s Seabird Program, and our efforts to improve tools for sustainable fisheries management and the preservation of marine ecosystems. The SMIF and underlying fisheries-based database is a geographic mapping and search tool that enables users to freely access the most relevant information on seabird distribution
