The Wiltshire and Swindon Biological Records Centre (WSBRC) is looking for a candidate who is organised and motivated, with a keen interest in ancient woodland ecology. They will be an excellent team-worker with the ability to work on their own initiative and able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Proficient in using GIS, with knowledge of ecology and experience of botanical surveying to update the Ancient Woodland Inventory for Wiltshire. The candidate will use their knowledge and skills to undertake a complete revision of the Ancient Woodland Inventory for Wiltshire and Swindon via GIS analysis of current data sources, and determining ancient woodland status by sourcing and interpreting additional evidence (e.g. historic maps).
