Apogee, Inc. has openings for federally permitted bat biologists for various presence/absence surveys throughout the Midwest and Eastern U.S. Primary responsibilities of this position are to lead a two-person crew to conduct summer mist-net and/or acoustic surveys threatened and endangered bat species. Daily duties will include, but are not limited to: selection of net placement, deployment and operation of mist-nets, identification of eastern U.S. bat species, application of radio-transmitters and bands, maintaining and decontaminating equipment, radio-telemetry, emergence counts, and collection/submittal of precise and thorough data.
