The Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area (AFNHA) is seeking up to 15 AmeriCorps members to provide direct service on projects that enhance natural assets in the Potomac Highlands of WV. We work to conserve, enhance, and interpret our forest heritage, which include natural, historic, cultural, forest products, and forest management. Our Conservation AmeriCorps members serve directly with sites such as the USFWS, WV Div. Of Forestry, The US Foret Service, and area non-profits to conserve natural resources including ecosystem restoration and improving public lands, habitat monitoring, and environmental awareness.
