Role Title: Apprentice Ecologist

Job Description:

We have opportunities in various locations for Apprentice Ecologists to support our National team of ecologists. The post will offer the successful applicant an interesting, challenging and varied workload as well as allowing them to develop personally and professionally, as an Ecologist.

Your role will be to assist our highly skilled ecologists as they undertake a range of habitat and protected species surveys including bats, reptiles, amphibians, otters, dormice, barn owls and a whole lot more. This is a great opportunity to develop your field skills and consultancy knowledge, as part of a professional team in the great outdoors.

This position will include day release to complete a fully funded professionally accredited Environmental Practitioner degree.

  • The duration of this apprenticeship is approximately 60 months
  • You will typically attend a local university 1 day per week during term time
Qualification/Skills:
  • a minimum 112 UCAS Points (equivalent to BBC at A Levels, excludes General Studies)
  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility and versatility.
  • MS Office skills
  • Self-Motivated
  • Desirable – Full, clean UK driving license and ideally access to a vehicle
