This position works alongside the aquatic research data analyst and learns critical techniques in data management and analysis methods relating to aquatic species management in Colorado. This internship utilizes online training and personal one- on-one instruction, working with software packages such as SQL, R, ArcGIS, and Tableau, to manage, manipulate, and analyze fisheries data from across the state. A primary topic of interest will be developed in consultation with the data analyst and worked on throughout the internship to produce a publication or presentation at the local American Fisheries Society Chapter meeting.
