The Cinderford and Batchley catchments suffers from environmental pressures as a result of ‘low flows’ and a limited availability of water resource; both supply and retention. Throughout Cinderford and Batchley brooks and their tributaries, the catchments require ecological resilience to low flows to safeguard the species and habitats against the damaging impacts of limited flows. Initial assessments and surveys have already been carried out during Phase 1 of the project. This provides baseline optioneering carried out in the assessment stage, which will inform and steer the delivery of restoration interventions.
