The person in this position will help coordinate and participate in a variety of field and laboratory research activities, providing day-to-day support for NGRREC principal scientists, visiting scholars, and research equipment. The primary responsibility of this position will be to collaborate with NGRREC principal scientists in investigations of wetlands ecology and biogeochemistry in the Mississippi River Confluence Region. This region is of significant interest for watershed health reasons and has a large number of wetland mitigation and restoration projects on federal, state, and NGO lands.
