The Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Science - Headquarters is looking for a dynamic, innovative, seasoned executive to lead the Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER). The Office of Science is the largest supporter of basic research in the physical sciences in the United States, providing more than 40 percent of total funding in this area. As the Associate Director for Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER) you will:
  • Serve as an international expert in the areas of research and the scientific user facilities supported by the Office's program. Formulate program goals, strategic directions, priorities, and plans for the Office, factoring in advice provided by the scientific advisory committee, as appropriate.
