AWC is seeking a highly motivated conservation scientist for the position of Regional Ecologist - South East Australia. The position will oversee the implementation of the science and conservation program on AWC’s wildlife sanctuaries in South Australia (Yookamurra, Buckaringa, Dakalanta and Kalamurina) and Newhaven Wildlife Sanctuary in the Northern Territory. Yookamurra supports a long-standing AWC reintroduction project, and Newhaven will host the first large-scale reintroduction of regionally extinct mammals in central Australia. Together, these properties extend over nearly 1 M ha and protect a range of semi-arid habitats.
