Background: Bark is a Portland-based, non-profit, watchdog organization for Mt. Hood National Forest. We work to monitor the activities of the U.S. Forest Service in order to prevent unnecessary environmental degradation, and advocate for redefining the role of forests as a solution to challenges presented by issues such as global climate change and social inequality. Scope of Work: The contractor is responsible for assisting Bark’s Forest Watch Coordinator in planning and implementing field work focused on, but not limited to, Bark’s ecological restoration activities in Mt. Hood National Forest and groundtruthing activities in proposed logging projects.
