Newt Conservation Partnership
Berkshire Project Officer
£27-£30k per annum

Permanent contract • home working • based in Berkshire

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, multi-skilled Project Officer who can deliver habitat creation and management projects, with a focus on ponds and great crested newt.

You will be able to engage and liaise with a variety of landowners and contractors and will have knowledge of pond and terrestrial habitat creation and restoration. Amphibian surveying skills are desirable. Training and expert support will be given to the right candidate.

The Newt Conservation Partnership is a community benefit society whose sole purpose is creating and managing high quality habitat for great crested newts. We source good quality habitat sites and work together with landowners so that ponds and terrestrial features, such as hedgerows, woodland and meadowland, can be securely managed into the future to provide long-term landscape scale refuges for sustainable newt populations.

Freshwater Habitats Trust is a friendly, nationally well-respected conservation charity that works to protect freshwater wildlife through practical, evidence-based and effective nature conservation projects. This job is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of botanists, invertebrate biologists, herpetologists and freshwater conservation experts who are making a difference.
