Fixed Term Contract until 31 December 2019 |  Starting salary circa £20,000pa

This is a fixed term contract, externally funded by Natural Resources Wales (NRW), until 31 December 2019. It is an executive position in BASC established to demonstrate biodiversity gain achieved through shooting and conservation activity, as an integral element of the UK Biodiversity Action Plan.

Working within a small team and reporting to the Director Wales the position is home based and will involve travel throughout Wales and occasionally the UK. The role requires co-ordination with Head Office colleagues and close liaison with the Country team in Wales.

Applicants should have relevant experience and be able to demonstrate:

  • The ability to train and support volunteers
  • Proven advisory/liaison experience with land managers and the ability to enthuse BASC members to participate in the project
  • An understanding of the shooting community and experience of sporting shooting would be desirable
  • Flexible, self-motivated with good time management and organisational skills.
