The participant will assist with a variety of ongoing data collection and preservation efforts relating to the vegetation and ecological resources of Fort Laramie National Historic Site (FOLA). FOLA was established as a monument in 1938 and designated as a National Historic Site in 1960. The purposes of the park include preserving and interpreting the extensive historic and cultural resources for which the park is well known as well as the abundantly diverse natural resources including the protection corridor at the confluence of the Laramie and North Platte Rivers.
