The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (DFW) is responsible for the conservation - including restoration, protection, and management - of fish and wildlife resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the public.

BioMap, a joint project of MassWildlife and the MA Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, is a framework for strategic protection and stewardship of those lands and waters that are most important for ensuring a climate-resilient landscape that protects the Commonwealth’s rich natural heritage for current and future generations.  An updated BioMap, accessible at www.mass.gov/biomap, was released in Fall 2022.
