BirdLife International is the world’s largest nature conservation partnership. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we deliver high impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.

We are looking for someone to provide full secretarial / administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer to enable her to make the most effective and efficient use of her time.

This person will ensure the smooth running of secretarial and administrative matters throughout Operations. Support other members of the Operations team in organisational tasks, including organising meetings, travel bookings, etc.

Location: Cambridge, UK
Full time: 35 hours per week
Contract: Open-ended
Salary: £30,000 pro rata plus competitive 12% pension benefit
Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata in year 1, increasing by 1 day pa to 28 days

The ideal candidate will have

  • Good general education
  • Secretarial qualifications desirable
  • Minute taking skills and ability to type fluently, accurately and quickly
  • Proof-reading skills
  • Proven track record of experience in a similar position
  • Experience of working in an international, multi-sited organisation is an advantage
  • People oriented and able to interact with a wide diversity of people
  • The right to work in the UK
