The Animal Care Professional I (ACP I) position is responsible for the evening shift husbandry activities of the Zoo animal collection. Responsibilities include performing after hours rounds in all areas and monitoring animals well-being, providing medications, reporting health problems or safety concerns, assist in the ANC, feed and clean certain animals and monitor/secure other areas of the zoo. RESPONSIBILITIES: At beginning of shift, make rounds meeting with animal areas, vet staff and operations to be given direction and access priority needs for the evening. Will monitor building heating/cooling needs. Make sure building are locked and secured. Round to each animal area making sure all closing protocol has been met and locks secured.
