Summary job description

We are currently recruiting a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Intern to support our busy Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team. At Blue Ventures the MEL team supports staff in the field to measure the impact of their work and adapt to improve what they are doing. This includes providing advice on monitoring plans and methods, developing tools for data management and analysis, and assisting with communication of results to a range of audiences.

This position will provide a broad range of assistance to the MEL team with tasks including data management and analysis, research and report writing, and helping to build data tools for teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to put their studies into action, gaining a wide range of experience in MEL skills and an insight into the workings of an international NGO. Reporting to UK-based MEL Officers, this is a flexible role based in in Blue Ventures’ Bristol office.

The successful candidate will be a motivated and proactive student or recent graduate with an interest in small-scale fisheries, marine conservation and rural development. You will have relevant experience in data handling and analysis, report writing and research.
