The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) has a three part BWCAW Leave No Trace User Education Video series. Users watch the first two parts at home ahead of their trip.  Part 3 is shown during permit issuance. Our Education Intern will provide a series of virtual viewing opportunities each day to show part 3 and issue the BWCAW permit to the viewers. This is an essential educational tool for protecting the fragile wilderness ecosystem and providing a quality recreation experience. Environmental educator duties will include:
  • Educating visitors on the BWCAW Trip Planning Guide.
  • Delivering and assisting with BWCAW- Permit Videos.
  • Providing front-desk customer service to Forest and BWCAW visitors.
