Role Description: We are looking for a research assistant for our conservation project investigating habitat quality and biodiversity in North West Panay, Philippines. This study aims to carry out systematic assessment of alternative livelihood projects implemented in 5 communities living nearby the North West Panay Peninsula Natural Park and systematic monitoring of the wildlife in this area. We will undertake qualitative and quantitative data collection to evaluate the 5 projects implemented in the past year (e.g. coffee, lemongrass and taro culture) and survey the potential threats faced by priority species, including the crab-eating macaque, the bleeding heart dove, the Visayan warty pig, and the Tarictic hornbill.
