The CABI-UK teams work in a broad range of activities dealing with invasive species management, weed/insect biocontrol and diagnosis services. In recent years CABI has secured several projects dealing with weeds, pest and disease risk modelling with a strong analytical and remote sensing component. The candidate will be involved as a modeller in these projects such as PRISE in sub-Saharan Africa, the Agritech projects in China to forecast the efficacy of biopesticides to control locusts or the Innovate UK project to forecast the risk and biopesticide efficacy of coffee berry borer in Colombia.
