Position Description:  We are seeking a highly motivated graduate student to conduct research on restoration techniques for native vegetation within the Edwards Plateau ecoregion of Texas.  Project goals include (1) designing and conducting experiments to investigate the establishment and performance of selected varieties and mixes of native grasses and forbs and to (2) determine how planting times, seeding rates, and site specific environmental conditions influence restoration success.  The student will also be responsible for helping lead efforts to obtain seeds from native plants throughout this ecoregion to help develop seed mixes for future restoration efforts in central Texas.
