This position will work under the direction of the Senior Environmental Scientist. The Senior Park Aide/ESI is responsible for conductingmonitoring for two federally listed bird species, the threatened snowy plover and the endangered least tern, including monitoring adults, nests, chicks and broods. General duties also include: fence, sign, and nest enclosure installation and maintenance; collect scientific field notes, data entry, and technical report writing; and work with the public as a State Park representative and with an interdisciplinary team. ESI Specific Duties Include: gain experience in the methods and ethics of professional conduct and practice; and may perform more independent duties in areas of particular expertise.
