Despite Covid, the European Wilderness Society has exciting plans ahead for 2021. The call for short- and long-term volunteers to support the protection of European Wilderness and its wildlife with the European Wilderness Society in 2021 is now open. If you are up for a wild adventure, don’t hesitate, send us your application! Volunteers live in the beautiful UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Lungau in the Austrian Alps and help with projects like LIFEstockProtect, Centralparks and BEECH POWER, Biodiversität im Wald and Let´s get wild, among many other interesting projects. Besides experiencing the day-to-day activities of a nature conservation NGO, you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors in the Austrian Alps and further. Unique chance

Are you passionate about nature protection and environmental advocacy? Do you have a good knowledge of English language and preferably a good understanding of German and/or Italian? Would you like to gain an up-close perspective on the day-to-day tasks of an NGO for the wide range of nature protection, forestry, tourism and youth involvement in a young and motivated international team? If yes, this chance is for you!

These volunteer opportunities offers financial support from the European Union. More information can be found on the Interreg Volunteer Youth website for details. Our team multi-cultural and experienced team consists of passionate people from various different fields: Wilderness and wildlife specialists, nature conservationists, researchers and scientists, tourism experts, marketing and business professionals, legal advisors and Wilderness advocates. Therefore, prior experience in the field of nature conservation is not a prerequisite, let us know what You can bring to the table!
