The funding for this project will allow the Camp Nelson National Monument (CANE) to implement visitor services at a new NPS area through the efforts of 3 Interns who will work alongside members of the park partner organization who has conducted visitor services up to 2021. The interns will perform frontline visitor services duties at the park’s visitor center. Tasks include visitor center operations; working the front desk; assisting ranger programs and special events; conducting research; digital media, and leading formal interpretive programs/hikes/walks. Compensation: 
  • One-time travel allowance: $1,100 once (personal vehicle required)
  • Weekly living allowance: $200 / week
  • Monthly housing allowance: $600 /Â
