At the Department of Environment we strive to ensure that the quality of Yukon’s environment is maintained for present and future generations through ecosystem-based management, conservation of natural resources, and the protection and maintenance of biodiversity, water, land, and air quality. This position works within a team of other analysts with the Environmental Affairs section and is responsible for coordinating the internal review of development applications (primarily under the requirements of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act) and participating in various resource planning processes. Key duties include identifying potential adverse effects of proposed development projects to valued ecosystem components; ensuring departmental interests are considered in
