Teach elementary students the science of Utah’s canyon county in a natural setting. You will assist the education specialist for Canyon Country Outdoor Education (CCOE) in implementing curriculum-based programs for elementary students. You will instruct at a variety of locations in Canyonlands and Arches national parks, on surrounding public lands, and at local schools. You will also have the opportunity to rove busy park trails and interact with junior rangers at Arches Visitor Center. In addition, interns may work with other divisions on an as-needed basis. Applicants should have professional work experience with elementary age children, such as in a classroom, after-school program, summer camp, etc. Compensation amounts: $1,100 - one time RT travel allowance $160 - weekly living
