Overview

This is a unique role for FSC to lead our Carbon Net-Zero and Nature Recovery Plan. This is a critical post engaging internal and external stakeholders to achieve our ambitious plans to be Carbon Net-Zero by 2030. Managing projects from inception to completion, attracting external funding, and coaching and mentoring collea gues. This will involve working across the UK in rural and often breath-taking locations.

What you’ll be doing

Working within the Infrastructure Team supporting Centre staff, you will be part of a team spread across the country working to improve our buildings, land and environment. You’ll be working from home, Head Office or at a Centre developing a network of motivated colleagues across the country to help us change the way we work to achieve our ambitious targets. You will be supported by the Environment & Sustainability Working Group with a range of skills and experience across FSC.

Working with Centre and specialist staff you will lead the delivery of the Carbon Net-Zero and Nature Recovery Plan.

Whether it be, initiating or supporting, you will be developing projects from planning to implementation to achieve our Vision by 2030.

Talking with staff to ensure that Carbon is a cor! e part of all our daily routines.

Liaising with external partners both near Centres and nationally to advocate for our work.

Supporting a network of Centre staff to lead our work.

Working with our Funding Manager to generate new internal and external funding.

We are looking for

An individual to bring our Carbon Net Zero and Nature Recovery Plan to life for staff and visitors. We need someone who is passionate about the environment and able to enthuse our staff to take on the challenges. You will need to be able to use data, evidence and carefully thought out strategies to back up your passion. We need a strong project manager who is able to drive projects from start to completion.

This post is not location specific, but it will require some time spent at centres and working with Head Office staff, so will require a degree of travel in line with our carbon reduction and travel policy.
