The Counselor-in-Training Coordinator (CIT Coordinator) is a member of the camp coordinator team and is responsible for planning and implementing Camp Chewonki’s CIT program. Camp Chewonki requires a highly motivated and well trained staff to deliver a rigorous and engaging curriculum. The CIT program is a critical pipeline for providing top candidates for positions across the summer staff and beyond. The CIT Coordinators will work together to plan a progression for the summer that trains CITs to deliver Chewonki’s mission (growth, nature, community), collaborate with peers to educate and care for participants, and prepare for and lead a safe and successful wilderness trip.
