We are delighted to announce two 12 month traineeships at Chiltern Rangers as part of the Chalk, Cherries & Chairs Project with The Chilterns Conservation Board, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

If you are looking to kick off your career in conservation, then this may be the opportunity you are looking for. Join the Chiltern Rangers team to learn what it means to be a Ranger and gain experience of conservation tasks throughout the seasons.  Our ideal candidates will be:

  • Passionate about working with your community and getting more people outdoors to benefit wildlife and themselves

About Chiltern Rangers

We work with local communities to provide habitat management in the woodlands, chalk grassland, commons, ponds and chalk streams of Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns.

We also manage 13 nature reserves for Buckinghamshire Council.

Our work is achieved with the help of our volunteers – people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, plus community organisations, charities, social enterprises, schools & colleges
