This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK covering the North York Moors National Park and Scarborough Borough. Working jointly for both the Authority and the Council, this new post will take a lead on climate change issues and reducing carbon emissions of both organisations’ activities to achieve net carbon zero by 2030. We‘ll want you to champion the cause of climate change, to develop plans for carbon reduction and oversee their implementation across the organisations. Whilst the post is initially a one year contract, if continued the scope of the role will expand to include the wider geographical area.
