The Clinical Veterinarian is part of the animal health leadership team and co-manages the clinical care and case management of patients at The Marine Mammal Center. They are responsible for the day-to-day training and mentorship of Teaching Hospital participants in the clinical veterinary track and a key partner in the animal husbandry track. The Clinical Veterinarian designs and implements medical best practices, including practical aspects of animal welfare, diagnostic medicine, medical record keeping, anesthesia and pharmaceutical (including controlled substance) administration, and other relevant areas.
