The Dauphin Island Sea Lab (DISL) invites applications for up to three faculty positions in marine science and conservation. DISL faculty receive the title of Senior Marine Scientist and a joint faculty appointment at an Alabama University with rank commensurate with experience. Although we expect to hire at the level of Senior Marine Scientist I (equivalent to Assistant Professor), established candidates seeking higher ranks will be considered. We seek candidates conducting novel, cutting-edge research in the benthos, water column, or aspects of organismal biology and ecology to enhance the broad field of marine conservation.
