Overview

Job Purpose:
A. To lead on the development of high quality OCN and/or Agored accredited training for Coed Lleol /
Small Woods, with a focus on the provision for participants as part of the Active Inclusion project
B. To convene a working group, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure stakeholder
collaboration in progressing the field of woodland skills and Social Forestry education.
C. To advise on the training of staff, leaders and partner organisations to ensure high-quality woodland
activities can be delivered through Actif Woods Wales.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead development of OCN and/or Agored accredited training drawing on Coed Lleol and Small Woods
experience and knowledge in this area;
• Oversee OCN administration – i.e. collection of work books, registering and organising certificates
• Convene a working group to deliver a non-accredited core module to AWW staff, partners and
leaders.
• Convene a wider network of stakeholders with a shared interest in progressing the field of woodland
and Social Forestry education
• Through these collaborations develop a suite of accredited training modules, accessible and
appropriate to different types of learners.
• Manage a project budget, time sheets, and other administration related to this area of work;
• Provide advice on training activities and courses for woodland and health professionals.
• Provide regular reports on this work for funders and the Coed Lleol Steering Group.
• Keep up-to-date with relevant training opportunities in the sector, developing ideas for the future.
• Network with relevant institutions / projects; look for areas of collaboration.
• Represent Coed Lleol at local events, including giving presentations.
• Carry out any other similar duties as can reasonably be required of the post.
