Colorado Open Lands (COL) is pleased to announce the acceptance of applications for a two-year Fellowship to manage our Grain for Cranes project. This position is based in Monte Vista, Colorado. COL, MillerCoors, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) are working together to better understand the complex relationship between Sandhill Cranes and agriculture in the San Luis Valley (SLV), in south-central Colorado. This Fellowship will focus on understanding private land conservation, agriculture, and public lands management through the lens of Sandhill Crane migration and barley production in the San Luis Valley.
