Description of Work Unit The Department of Forest & Rangeland Stewardship is a teaching and research unit at Colorado State University with a mission to cultivate a community of natural resource stewards. This department is dedicated to identifying and quantifying ecological process in order to sustainably manage the natural resources upon which our society relies. Faculty research in this department spans large spatial scales (from cells to continents) and ecosystem types (from grasslands to forests). The Department of Forest & Rangeland Stewardship is also dedicated to training the next generation of natural resource managers to ensure the continued health of the ecosystems under our stewardship.
