Job Description The Marine Resources Commission (MRC) serves as stewards of Virginia’s marine and aquatic resources and serves as protectors of its tidal waters and homelands. The MRC is seeking to fill the position of Chief of Habitat Management. The Chief of Habitat Management has executive responsibility for the administration of a state regulatory permit program governing the use or development of marine habitat. This position supervises the preparation of objective analyses, recommendations and audiovisual presentations to the Commission at formal monthly public hearings, and reviews decisions of 35 separate local wetlands boards, annually.
